These Chardonnay grapes were grown using sustainable organic practices. The 2017 vintage had a cool year start with a very hot finish allowing the grapes to ripen with lots of flavour and natural acidity. The harvest produced quite small berries which resulted in very intense flavours. About 30% of the wine was matured in oak barrels for up to 4 months and then blended with the balance of the batch.
The wine shows some lovely integrated flavours of peach and melons with the silky oak tannins. The palate is fresh and lingering and will compliment chicken, pork and salad dishes.
